The Lutheran Campus Center now offers wireless printing!

Right now, we are just in the experimental trial stages in offering this service, so it’s a bit limited. If you have a suggestion that would help us with managing this amenity, please send your suggestion to <lccwin@hbci.com>.

At present, the printer is located in the Lutheran Campus Center office; eventually, we will relocate the machine to the public area we call the Playroma. But before we do that, we need to figure out how to charge people for the service, (we cannot afford to offer the printing free of charge!) So.... the printer is only available to you when the Lutheran Campus Center office door is open, and either Aleah (Office Manager) or P.C. (the Lutheran Campus Pastor) are in the building. .

The charge is 20¢ per copy for black and white, and $1.00 for color. Cash only, please.

The printer is also a photocopier and scanner. Photocopies are priced the same as above. Scans, because they then need to be relayed to you, and therefore require personnel time, are 50¢ each. At present, we are not planning to offer fax capability.

So, how do you go about doing this? First, you must be connected to the internet via our airport connection network: “Lutheran Campus Center.” (Sometimes it will pop up as “LCC Y R<”)

What next?
Well, if you are operating a Mac, predictably, it is simple.

If you are operating a pc system, it is much more complicated. First, you have to download and install a program called <Bonjour.> Neither Windows connection wizard, nor printer connection wizard will work. It might take about 5 minutes to get Bonjour for Windows installed and up and running.

Then it gets simple. (It’s an Apple-Mac thing.) Simply run the Bonjour program, choose the printer, and then print your document. You may also need to choose a driver. Come to the LCC office, pay up and collect your document!

If you are a Mac user, just go to print your document as you would normally. (You know, <command P>) Your Mac will say something like “no printer selected” and in that same dialog box, you click on <select printer.> Choose our printer, and do the usual selections of how many, what quality, etc. Then, come to the LCC office, pay up and collect your document!
